New The sims is already in development

The developers are the former creators of The Sims

The Sims is no longer the only life simulator on the market. He even begins to concede to his competitors. For example, the same Paralives is quite popular on the net. And now Paradox Interactive is joining the party with a new game, Life By You. And, interestingly, this life simulator is being developed by the former creator of The Sims. And is it legal? Isn't this the beginning of the end of The Sims?

Rod Humble leads Paradox Tectonic, a studio that was established back in 2019 and is based in California. Humble came here from EA and Linden Lab - and these are the creators of Second Life. I think this person knows exactly how to properly develop this type of game, and what mistakes to avoid. Rod was the studio's CEO from 2011 to 2014.

The new Life by You game was revealed at the Paradox presentation, we only got a short teaser during the 30 minute presentation. Let me quickly remind you that at that presentation we were shown Cities: Skylines 2 - the continuation of the legendary game with excellent graphics. After watching, I had no words, very good progress, by the way, here is the trailer for the new Cities:

Life by You is really very similar to The Sims. Although, all life simulators are similar to some extent, and there is simply competition in terms of functionality. Whoever offers more modifications and functions is the market leader in simulators. In the teaser, we saw the park, and how someone is doing yoga. The style of the game is very similar to Cities Skylines in 2015. It was the same with the music, it brought me right back to the Cities. In general, the graphics are not bad, if we discard the problems of this style, then the effects are downright at a good level. There is a building editor, and it is similar to the one used in The Sims: the same settings for walls and floors. Only the buttons are located on the side. I hope these developers will be able to make a normal artificial intelligence, and not one that does what it wants and interferes with playing.

The teaser also showed the beach. I hope it's going to be a full open world and not the Sims 4's location-based download transition. The full presentation will take place on March 20th. It will be held by the main developer Rod Humble himself. Probably, there they will show us the actual gameplay, and answer many new questions related to the game.
